Arun Bose Memorial Award in Intaglio Printmaking – Society of American Graphic Artists 86th Annual Members Exhibit, March 28 – April 16, 2021: juror was Andrew Raftery.

Rosa Peckham Award – Second Place Providence Art Club 2021 Winter Members Exhibit, January 24 – February 12, 2021: juror was Lois Harada. 

Alice Clark Hubbard Prize 63rd Juried Regional Show Mystic Museum of Art for Orchidaceae Artist Book & Clamshell Box. Exhibit ran August 23 – October 5, 2019; Juror was Emily Handlin, the Marsted Curatorial Fellow for Contemporary Art at the Wadsworth Atheneum.

Best in Show ($1000) Providence Art Club Members’ Exhibition 2017 for Beauty in Place Artist Book. Exhibit ran September 9 – 29, 2017; juror was Suzanne M. Packer.

Elizabeth Richardson Prize, Providence Art Club National Open Juried Exhibition “AMERICA, NOW” ; juror Elliot Bostwick Davis, PhD, Chair of the Art of America Department, Museum of Fine Arts Boston.

If you are interested in trying photopolymer printmaking, you can still sign up to take my Solar Photopolymer Printmaking 3-day workshop at the Providence Art Club. You don’t need to have any experience in printmaking, Elena and I help each student at every step. For artists experienced in printmaking, this is a chance to experiment combining photopolymer plates with other techniques. You can also have a great lunch at the club each day… the club serves a range of wonderful salads, sandwiches, burgers, desserts and more.

Solar Plate Printmaking Description: Students will work with new 21st century photopolymer gel plates, UV light and tap water to make a printable surface. Easy, safe, and fast, these printmaking plates are ready to print in only 20 minutes. Instruction will cover all the ways to create images on these plates, multiple approaches to printing as well as showing how other printmaking techniques can be combined with solarplate. The possibilities are as exciting as they are numerous.
 
Will be a great three days!
